Thanksgiving Cookie Cutters

My 5 year old nephew explains why he picked out these cookie cutters for their specific Thanksgiving meanings over the others. Highlights include “a bone for dog Thanksgiving” and “flowers for the table”, but you’ll know the money line when you hear it…

Trying to remember/decipher TaleSpin

PART 2 – the debate continues:

Wheeler, Dwayne and I try to think of and/or decode the quick verse to the TaleSpin theme song.

If you’ve never heard of the early 90′s Disney Afternoon cartoon TaleSpin featuring characters from the Jungle Book or don’t remember this line in it, go over and watch that first.

Wheeler loves Heatherrrrr

Wheeler called the hanging lanterns from the palm trees…”magical”… and tried to get pictures of them. Then he called the girl he’s “dating” to express mushy feelings of mushiness.
At the end is the beginning of the Tale Spin lyrics remembering attempt we made while walking home.

Decapitated Snake Continues to Move

Important Info about this video: I edited this within minutes after it happened, and the video conveys exactly what I thought and felt of it at the time – it was creepy, exciting, interesting, and very weird. Watching this video long afterward however, I wince at its gruesomeness and possible mixed messages that could be taken with it.

Rattle snakes on the property must be destroyed. I’m not a PETA hippie, but I also am not into slaughtering animals for no reason other than fun or amusement. I almost stepped on one a few years ago and trapped it in a trash can and called the Fire Department. They sent a firetruck over with 3 men who came and decapitated the snake with a special guillotine on a stick and disposed of the body. Despite feeling retarded for having wasted their time, they assured me that I did the right thing. This time there was no time to trap the animal or call authorities. My aunt freaked out and called me and I brought my camera outside with me since I heard the word “snake”. I thought I had killed it by cutting off the head as quick as I could. When it continued to move, I called my aunt to get something else to finish it off with. I was NOT just sitting around with my camera watching the poor thing slowly die. She came back with scissors so I cut it closer to the head this time. The use of the word “execution” makes it sound more dramatic, but in reality it was just a quick way to deal with a deadly poisonous animal in a heavily trafficked area.

Backyard Gopher Escape

This bastard was ruining my lawn and garden for weeks.
Finally I got my aunt to help me flush him out. And it worked.
