Spring at my parents house in Texas: 6 new peacock babies and the mother nested right outside the living room window. Later that same afternoon a huge hailstorm with golfball to grapefruit sized hail pummeling down and bounding off the roof like balls. The mommy peahen was drenched, but close enough to the house not to get pummeled. All six babies survived the storm. ;
